#R:umcp-cs:-437900:isrnix:9500016:000:584 isrnix!akp Dec 12 00:32:00 1983 (blah blah blah) "Quad density" can mean one of two things: first, it meant "Double-sided AND double-density," but then it came to mean "four times the density on one side." I believe the standard "single density" for 5.25" disks is ~90k, like the Osborne. Then there's "double density" with 160K or so, and "quad density" with 320K or so. Note that quad density almost always refers to 320k/disk regardless of the method of getting it (DSDD or QD). Somebody please correct me if my ~'s are too far off. -- Allan Pratt ...decvax!ihnp4!iuvax!isrnix!akp
