[net.micro.pc] DOS 2.1

The reason for the PCjr using only version 2.1 > of DOS is the type
of disk drrive used by IBM. Apparently the stepping rate of the drive
is slower than the tandon rate, maybe they are TEAC slimlines? The manual
that I have seen for DOS 2.1 is VERY thick and includes a separate little
tutorial book (I don't have ANY version of DOS yet, so I don't know if this
is new or not). IBM expects one to pay an additional $28 for the DOS
TECHNICAL REF. book, it is nowhere near the 2.1 book in thickness. It looks
very xeroxable to me (less than $5.00). I have no idea if there are any
new features in 2.1 except that the rep. I talked to said there were. He
also said it was availible (I did see the Manual + disks + tech ref.) but
I have been unable to purchase one as yet.
                                           that's all for now,

What is the difference between DOS 2.0 and DOS 2.1.
If one has DOS 2.0 is there a way of exchanging it for DOS 2.1.
