From: James Park <JCP@CMU-CS-PS1> One can implement a hardware reset by connecting a single pole single throw (pushbutton) switch between the reset pin and the ground bin of the empty socket for the 8087 numeric processor (unless of course you already have an 8087 occupying the socket.) This would be pins 1 and 21. The reset is activated when the switch connects ground and the reset pin. The result is the equivalent of turning off the machine and turning it back on again.
