Lauren, in his note on uucp on PC/IX and Coherent, misunderstands what
"single user" means. PC/IX involves a single user binary AT&T Unix
license. AT&T does not consider uucp to be a "user" so it's OK to leave
the async port enabled for login all the time for the benefit of uucp.

Also, the PC-DOS based terminal emulator INTERACTIVE sells is not
actually for a VT-100 but rather for an INtext II terminal. The INtext
is an ANSI terminal sort of like a VT-100, but the interesting thing
about it is that it knows a lot about the INed editor, so that when the
editor is running, a lot of the editing takes places in the terminal.
That means that the editor does not load down the system anywhere near as
heavily as, say, the Rand editor (a cousin of INed), so the performance
problems traditionally associated with such editors are avoided. The key
assignments in the INtext emulator are the same as they are for the
version of INed you get with PC/IX, which is handy for situations where
sometimes you want to use PC/IX and other times you want to use your PC
as a terminal to a Vax.
