[net.micro.pc] Columbia Information Requested

ncoss@abnjh.UUCP (Scott D. Allen) (01/27/84)

My apologies if this has already been discussed on the network, but
I am new here and could really use some help.

I do to own a PC machine yet but hopefully soon I will be able to afford
a PC or equivalent computer. Does anyone out there own a Columbia Personal
Computer or know enough about them to tell me if they're worth the money. I
mean, I do not hold the letters IBM sacred, so if the Columbia PC is everything
the IBM-PC is, why not try to save a lot of money by getting the Columbia?

On the other hand, if the Columbia cannot do everything the IBM can,
I don't need it. Any advice would be helpful. Please post your replies on the
network because I know of others who are interested in the same information.

Thanks,

..

The Corona seems to be all that the Columbia is BUT it has REALY NICE
charactors. The mono board is on the Cororna motherboard and they have
used a 13 v x 16 h matrix for their chars ... VEry easy to read and
easy on your eyes.
