A number of law schools in Canada are interested in making use of the CAI I have been developing for the Law Society. Some of these schools have very tight budgets and can only afford PC's without hard disks. Is there any version, or fraction, of UNIX, which runs on the PC without a hard disk? They wouldn't need any of the utilities (not even an editor, for that matter). However, the program when running uses a complex combination of forked processes with pipes, signal handling, longjmp, etc. It's written in C, of course. It has been suggested to me that DOS 2.0 has enough UNIX-like features that I should be able to get the thing to run under DOS. Any comments on this?
