[ BDOS ERROR on LINE-EATER] We are interested in getting some IBM PC-XT's with UNIX. However, we are interested in some alternatives to buying an IBM PC-XT with PC/IX. More specifically: 1) Does anyone have experience with Venix/86 from VenturCom, especially with the hard disk package which includes it (offered by Unisource)? 2) Does anyone have any experience with hard disks for PC (they're all Winchester, right? but what is IOMega's Bernoulli Box?? )? We've looked at Tallgrass and Tecmar in particular, but anything will do (famous last words...) If nothing else, this may become a collection of horror stories about attempts to actually make the IBM PC become a useful machine. I will post a summary of everyone's disk stories (provided there is a response). Thanks in advance and keep those cards and letters coming in to: ...tp...(the blue mouser) ...ihnp4!afinitc!wucs!tp "Think of it as evolution in action"
