Anybody with any comments on the R Base 4000 package? Mike Parker {alias mike@LOGICON.ARPA} -------

From: Hellmut Golde <GOLDE@WASHINGTON.ARPA> I have tried their demo-disk, available for about $10, and I am quite impressed. They have just released a new version of the real thing and are also pushing their so-called natural language package, CLOUT. I believe that there will shortly be a new demo diskette available for a slightly higher price, including a demo of CLOUT. I have had a bit of trouble getting information out of the firm, and I have not yet decided to get R:Base 4000. --HG -------

#R:sri-arpa:-19100:uiucuxc:21900002:000:250 uiucuxc!litvin May 30 22:10:00 1984 --- Warning --- R:Base 4000 is copy protected and requires the original system disk to be used for every start-up from DOS. (Needless to say, this is extremely obnoxious.) We don't have CLOUT yet, but I should see it within a couple of weeks.
