Does any one out there know the format of the LOTUS 123 spreadsheet Data Interchange Files ? The reason I ask is that the company I was working for last easter have 2 pc's and an IBM main frame. They also have software for the pc to enable it to connect up to the mainframe as a terminal and to run a disk simulator this the pc's end up with a viortual diskette on the mainframe. All well so far. The problem is that now they want transfer spreadsheets from a spreadsheet package on the mainframe (They know the format of this spreadsheet) down to the pc's where they want to convert it to 123 spreadsheets. There is a program which is part of 123 which reads files in a format called DIF (Data Interchange Files) and converts them to 123 spreadsheets. They are now stuck with the difficulty that they cant find any info on DIF files. LOTUS (UK) say they don't know and I couldn't get in touch with LOTUS (USA) . The format of the 123 spreadsheet is proprietary info but the format of the DIF files should be public domain ( I hope ). Could anyone with any info / suggestions mail me please Tim Graves mcvax \ \ ukc!west44!graves ..!west44!westf!graves / \ / \ vax135 hou3b
