[net.micro.pc] Wanted: program to defeat memory test in PC

diamant@pyuxa.UUCP (John Diamant) (07/12/84)

I am looking for a program which changes the amount of memory the IBM PC
thinks it has. What I would like to do is set the dip switches to tell the
rom that my PC only has 64K (to speed up the memory test) and have the program
change it to 384K (or whatever). I heard about a program like this, and it
should be very simple, but I am not familiar enough with PC internals to
write this.

				Thanks,
