You can also get it by sending your old version with the manual + $30.00 (for a total of about $32.00). The mail order price for the new one varies from $30 to $35 (see the ads in PCWorld, for example). If you buy it this way you end up with two versions, one of which you can legally sell or give as a present to a friend. Microsoft, how can you call it an "update".
