I am trying to append a foreign file (delimited with double quotes and commas) into a data base file which contains a memo fiels. All goes well except that the data which should go into the memo field - in the dbt file - appears to be discarded by dBASE. After the APPEND is complete, I try to display the contents of the memo field and it is empty; all other fields are fine. Does anyone know how to append data into a memo field or is it simply not possible ? Many thanks.
