Just got a letter from Peter Norton regarding the new upgrade to the Norton Utilities the other day. These are the 4 most important improvements: 1) The utilities now work an any DOS disk, including PC/AT high capacity 1.2M floppies, the 20 Mb wini, and on disk partitions of ANY SIZE. They also work on RAM disks, JFORMAT disks, or any disk DOS 2.0 or later. 2) Utilities are easier to use. all the progs have been revised to work consistently with standard DOS programs - unerasing files is easier and more automatic. 3) New features have been added. 4) New facility for data security - data wiping features to safeguard confidential data. Version 3 is available to anyone with a prior version (registered) for only $25. For others it will be $100. In order to be eligible for the upgrade you must send in the upgrade letter from Peter Norton along with your check. He says availability is 12/15/84 and fixes alot of complaints about v2.0 not being able to support DOS disks of different sizes - especially wini's.
