Well, I only got one response about cross compilers and have
found out somethings myself.

 Now for my stuff:

Computer Innovations sells a cross compiler for their c86 compiler which
they says "runs on a DEC VAX to create programs that run under MS/PC-DOS, or
in a stand alone environment".  But of course you need to buy the C86
compiler first.
