I have not received any responses locally so I am reposting to a larger audience. I have an atari joystick that I would like to connect to the game port of a Quadram board in an IBM/PC. What I need to know is what are the pin assignments for both the atari and IBM/PC to I can make a connector. Thanx in advance. bob

REFERENCES: <1567@hcrvax.UUCP> The Atari joystick and the IBM PC game port are fundamentally incompatible! The Atari joystick is a collection of on/off switches. The IBM PC game port (according to the Tech Ref; I assume your Quadram is the same) calls for proportional control using 100K pots. (I've heard a nasty rumor that it really needs 400K, in spite of the manual.) Thus no amount of cable transposition will help. Sorry.
