I'm concerned that my first message didn't make it out on the net, so here's a second posting. If it did may it out, sorry, but I haven't gotton any responses..... My COMPAQ (one of 10 in our office) will not run Tobias' Managing Your Money. All of the other tested machines will. While running advanced diagnostics, we discovered that the disk drive speed is 1910 while the IBM package recommends a speed of between 1990 and 2000 as correct. I have two questions: 1. Does MYM's protection scheme include some sort of timing mechanism to prevent the 'starter' disk from being loaded into ram or onto a hard disk with a disk-copy package? 2. Without taking the COMPAQ to the shop (warranty's up), could you tell me how to adjust the speed of the drive (CDC's). If all else fails, I'll probably yank the bad drive and put in a pair of half-height TEACS. Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Mickey Levine decvax!cca!mickey
