I am interested in interfacing a synthesizer (probably a DX7) to a computer (IIe, PC etc.). I am beginning to understand what I need to do hardware-wise, I am still confused as to what software is available currently, and of what it is capable. How many tracks can I control? How many voices can be controlled simultaneously on an instrument such as the DX7, and to what degree of independence? How versatile are these programs musically? Is there a void here software-wise? I appreciate any response, Don /* ---------- */ /* ---------- */

Tons of hardware and software is out and more arrives daily. If anyone is interested, pick up a copy of any issue of Keyboard magazine and look at ads galore. If anyone needs more information they can post questions to net.music.synth or myself. -- Synthetically, Shane A.
