It's about time that I gave my IBM PC (standard 256k model w/color card) the ability to talk to the outside world. I'd like to buy a multi-function card with a RS-232C interface, additional RAM, and a clock/calendar; anybody have recommendations on the best buy? I've been considering the Quadram Quadboard and AST Six-pack, and would love to hear of others' experiences with these or similar boards. While I'm at it, I'd appreciate any recommendations on 300/1200 baud modems with RS-232C interface. Price would be a major factor, but I'd also like to know about features such as autodial, autoanswer, DC Hayes compatibility, and so forth. Also, if you could direct me to any magzine articles which review modems and multifunction boards, I'd be most grateful. My e-mail address is: ...!ihnp4!wucs!wuibc!etm If there's sufficient interest, I'll summarize what I learn to the net. And as always, thanks in advance.
