[net.micro.pc] How do you detect an 8087?

How can one detect if a machine has an 8087 or not *without* looking at
switches on the motherboard (ie. using interrupt 11). Are there any
undocumented op codes which allow this? I seem to recall a discussion on
USENET a while ago but don't remember the outcome.
