I'm looking for a vt100 package for the IBM/PC. It must emulate the vt100 function keys due to the package that I want to use on the machine that it will (serially) be connected to. It should also work with a hayes-modem if possible. marty

It emulates the vt100 and vt102, which is what I use on my PC. The cost is $150 and they can be reached at (608) 273-6000. It will work with a Hayes, but not as easy as PC-TALK or QMODEM. But since it has programable text keys, the Hayes can be played with that way. It also supports XMODEM. Mr. Video

There is a freeware product called PC-VT v8.0 that will do what you want. We are using it at the University with many different mainframes and packages. It will work with the EDT editor on VAX/VMS and maps the VT100 PFK keys to some of the IBM function keys. It costs $35. The address is: Mark C. DiVecchio 9067 Hillery Drive San Diego, Calif. 92126

VTERM from Coefficient Systems is the best vt100 emulatoer I have found. They also sell it packaged with a 1040 emulator which works very well.

PCVT (a VT100 emulation package with XMODEM ftp support) can be downloaded from our semi-public-access machine at 300/1200 baud on 212-603-8747. Hit a few returns to get in, then look around... the author of PCVT requests that if you like the program, you send him $35, which I strongly recommend doing.
