<> We have the umodem36a program that Rick Frerichs posted some time ago. We have been using it with an Apple Lisa and we now wish to use it with an IBM PC/XT and an IBM PC/AT for communication between those machines and UNIX systems. Does anyone have a program that will run on the PC's that you could let us have? We would be most appreciative. Thank you. Robert Perlberg Resource Dynamics Inc. New York philabs!rdin!perl

An excellent communications program is available free from various FIDO systems around the country. The program is called XXXMINI, where the XXX is either IBM, DEC, OTR, TDY, SYO for the IBM, the DEC Rainbow, the Ortrona, the Tandy 2000, or the Sanyo. This excellent program, written by the author of FIDO, Tom Jennings, provides VT100 emulation, as well as XMODEM, MODEM7, TELELINK, KERMIT and raw ASCII protocols. You can download the version appropriate for your machine from your local FIDO system. If you have no modem programs at all, get a friend who has one to do it for you. If there is interest, I will post numbers for main regional FIDO systems in the US. There are now over 250 FIDO/FIDONET systems, worldwide. Kurt Reisler - SYSOP - FIDO#74 - The Bear's Den
