WS-DOS 1.1 will convert WS nondocument files (DOS or ASCII) to WS document files or vice versa. It gives you the option to strip or replace print enhancement control characters, and to strip or retain WS dot commands when converting from WS to DOS. WS-DOS will also strip all *soft* hyphens except for hyphens at the ends of lines. When converting from DOS to a WS document file, WS-DOS converts all paragraphs to WS paragraph format (i.e. all lines have a soft carriage return, except the last line in each paragraph). Hard carriage returns are retained on indented material. WS-DOS was originally written and copyrighted by Andrew Fluegleman of PC-Talk fame. It is now being supported as user supported software with Fluegelman's permission by USERWARE, P.O. 12234, Portland, OR 97212. Program and on-disk manual will be sent to anyone who sends $25. Enhancements are planned to provide several options for two hard carriage returns between paragraphs, for indented material to be left justified and treated as regular WS paragraphs, for formatted text to be left justified, and anything else I can think of. These will be available in WS-DOS II sometime this year. steve rogers P.S. USERWARE is one of my aspects.
