I have heard from a none-too-reliable source that Borland is currently developing a Turbo-C package. If this is true and the compiler is as good as the Turbo-Pascal, it would be a really nifty package. Has anyone heard anything about this. Reply by mail or post to the net. Thanks in advance. Frank

A fellow on the Borland tech assistance line told me that they were developing a C with " an environment like Turbo Pascal". Said it would be ready 3Q or 4Q85. I'm not holding my breath, but (given my satisfaction with their Pascal) I'll probably buy it as soon as it appears. Dave Tutelman

Yes, it has been rumored for a long time that Borland is planning a Turbo C, and Philippe Kahn (sp?) of Borland has even said it is on his list of things to do. On the other hand, so was doing a Turbo-Pascal for the Macintosh. Right now, Kahn is so tied up with doing the OS for Commodore's Amiga that he barely has time to breath. In short, don't hold your breath.
