In view of the misinformation about Epsilon recently posted to this
newsgroup, I am posting this reply as a courtesy to Todd Doucet of
Lugaru Software Ltd. Mr. Doucet is a personal friend, but I have
no affiliation with his company, except as an Epsilon user.

Dear Mr. Cramer:
You keep repeating that Epsilon does not allow compiling or shell interaction
in a window. Several people have told you that it does indeed, yet you
remain unconvinced. I believe you are confused because Epsilon has more
than one process command.
There is a command named PUSH, which is bound to C-X C-E. That works as you
said: it fires up an inferior program, and returns to Epsilon when that
program exits.
There is another process command called START-PROCESS, which is bound to
C-XC-M (not C-X<Enter>). That command indeed fires up a shell, or compiler,
etc, and CONCURRENTLY executes it while you continue to use Epsilon.
These commands are extensively documented in the Epsilon Reference Manual,
which every owner of a copy of Epsilon should have received when he purchased
Epsilon.

I will assume that I have misunderstood the manual. Thanks for the explanation.
