<> I just got my copy of Business Week and on the back cover, Radio Shack announced that it reduced the price of its Tandy 1200 HD by $1000 to $1999. This seems like an incredible deal for a 256K, 10Mb Hard Disk machine. They have a good service system too. Has anyone used this machine? How compatible is it? We have two Tandy 1200HD systems. They're great, particularly for $2000. One is configured with an IBM mono card and screen, since Tandy's were the same price, the other with an Everex multifunction screen adapter. We've plugged in 3COM Ethernet, AST cards, and they all work. Software seems quite compatible -- everything works including persnickety things like Flight Simulator. My main complaint is that the keyboard is a Keytronics with mushy feel and switched \ and shift keys in the lower left. But that's not much of a complaint. We'll certainly never buy an XT again unless IBM drops the price down to $999 at Christmas, like they did with the Jr to clear them out before they cancelled them. John Levine, ima!johnl
