[] Does anybody out there have knowledge or hints about the serial expansion cards available for the AT (esp. Stargate Tech. "OCTABOARD" or QuadRam's QuadPort). Is there a XENIX-friendly, intelligent card out there yet? Also, does your NumLock key fail to disable the DEL key & substitute "."? Makes the keypad pretty useless--is this buggy XENIX or the keyboard? Thanks, Kevin Eric Saunders lasspvax.kevin@cornell.arpa

This would make sense as you might want to interrupt a process with the keypad in eother mode and would be confused if it only worked "intermittently". I prefer to use ^C as my Interrupt Character and would kindof like to have the normal functioning of my keypad restored. Aother interesting "feature" of the XENIX console driver is that the 'Scroll Lock' key fails to toggle the 'Scroll Lock' indicator. Initially this caused me to suspect that the indicator had failed. Other tests proved that not to be the case. Are the rumors about a System V version of XENIX true? Can we anticipate a System V clone with the PC x-development tools also? Probably not, rarely rumors that exciting turn into reality. -- 'Make USENET a better place to live -- Give generously to the /dev/null fund.'
