<<< In the May 27 issue of Infoworld John Dvorak published a note that stated that the 80287 socket on at least 3 PC AT's was installed BACKWARD's. I checked the AT that I have and the socket was backwards from where I normally expect pin 1 to be located. The scary thing is that I had gotten a 80287 from Intel and would have put it in backwards if it weren't for Dvorak. Does anyone know whats going on and why the socket is installed the way it is?
