I have been grovelling around the ANSI.SYS driver and I notice support for a single character output function via INT 29H. This also seems to be in the standard CON driver in IO.SYS/IBMBIO.SYS. I have two questions: 1. What is it for? Is it useful to programs in that it can be used in situations when more normal methods cannot? or is it just another "Internal to DOS" thing? 2. Why doesn't the documentation mention it? Yes, I know it doesn't *have* to be documented, and why should they (etc). BUT....how the hell is one supposed to write console drivers for special purposes when information like this is withheld? Usual Microsoft/IBM attitude, I suppose.... Any ideas, please? -- Bob Eager rde@ukc.UUCP rde@ukc ...!mcvax!ukc!rde Phone: +44 227 66822 ext 7589
