Does anyone out there in netland have a UNIX-like date command that prints the date and time on an IBM PC? I know about the standard IBM PC date command that allows you to set the date and the time command that allows you to set the time, but i want to get the date, not set it. Since files are created with the current time and date I know it must be stored somewhere and I just need the right assembler program to get at it. Any info will be appreciated. You don't need an assembler program to print the date and time on a PC. The DOS PROMPT command could be used, e.g., prompt $t $d to print the time and date. The only problem is that your DOS prompt is then changed, so you'll need to change it back!
