I would be interested in merging sources with updated versions of JOVE. However, in the process of moving JOVE to msdos, it was necessary to rearrange some things. Specifically, all terminal i/o was rewritten and localized, to make it easier to switch from termcap driver to dedicated screen driver for the ibm. Hence, my sources cannot be simply diffed with the originals. Ken Mitchum cadre.ARPA

Sorry about being late with this but my schedule has been busy! The JOVE/MSDOS sources are available via anonymous ftp at internet host cadre.arpa. The files are in ~ftp/jove and are in 4.2 tar format. Access is limited to off hours (9 PM to 8 AM EST). The Computer Innovations C86 compiler version 2.10 or later is required, and two small files are in assembly language. A makefile for ms-dos is provided, along with the sources of the "make" for the ibm posted to the net, rewritten for C86. If you do not have access to ftp, or do not have C86, you can send me the following and I will put the files on a diskette for you: 2 disks + $1.50 postage All sources 3 disks + $1.50 postage All sources, .obj files Please do not send me diskettes if you have a compiler and a way of getting the sources! It will take me at least two weeks to respond. Ken Mitchum Decision Systems Laboratories 1360 Scaife Hall University of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, Pa. 15261

Because of the question raised on the net regarding Jove, the MSDOS modifications will no longer be available. Ken Mitchum (km@cadre.ARPA)
