I am having problems getting my single line telephone to work correctly. The following symptoms have been observed. After booting the system I can go into the phone manager and toggle the line into data mode. I can then go ahead and place one data call (everything works). After I exit from the data call if I try to place a second data call the system will not allow me. An error message is displayed "Unable to use line one" or it tries to place the call and then hangs up the line after a connection is made. I have tried toggling the line back to voice mode and then back to data mode but this puts the system into some kind of a loop; repairable only by switching back to voice mode or shutting the system down. I have a second system that I have been using with two lines and everything seems to work fine there. I have tried the trick of switching the ring and tip leads at the line one wall connection but this still has the same problem and prohibits me from making outgoing voice calls. My modem profile is the same as the two line machine: baudrate: 1200 send par: no parity check par: no Further, I disconnect my data call via the shift <Exit> key. Anyone had similar problems or know of a fix for this one? Gary Peckham, BTL - HO, (201) 949-1831, hounx!gtp
