After backing up a directory with backup *.* b: and creating 3 disks, I find the restore utility, invoked via restore b: *.*/p in a different directory than the original claims that it found no files to restore! Is there a 3.0 bug, and is there a fix? HELP!!!!!!

There definately is a bug in the DOS 3.0 Backup program. It apparently writes out a floppy of info then messes up writing the directory. Fixed in 3.1. I don't have either though, I just know people who have gone through the same grief as you. Apparently it makes the directory length zero or something. If you can fix that the restore will work (ie the floppy of info is OK)
