[net.micro.pc] Color graphics on a monochrome monitor - Help!

acadia@genat.UUCP (Acadia University) (07/19/85)

We have an IBM PC AT with an AMDEK 310A monochrome (TTL) monitor.
We are looking for a video card that emulates the color graphics
card but produces output on a monochrome monitor. We have tried
the Paradise Modular Graphics card and the Genoa Spectrum both of
which work except for one program - PLATO Homelink software from
CDC. This program does work on a color graphics adapter connected
to a color monitor.

Has anyone else had problems with Paradise or Genoa? Would the Everex
Graphics Edge card be a good choice? Any other cards to consider?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Please send mail - I'll summarize if interest is there.
