We are about to purchase a Zenith 158 (IBM PC Clone) I would like to beef the memory to 640K, and to add a couple of additional serial ports. I have been told that the primary board in this computer has 3 banks for memory, one of which is filled with 256K. In order to make it 640K, I am supposed to fill the additional two banks with 256K chips, and then let DOS ognor the extra 128K. What I would like to know is, what is the difference between 150ns and 200ns chips. Also, what is the difference between low drain and high drain. I am confused. Also, since I want to add two serial ports, and since the computer does not come with a clock/calendar, which boards should I look into? I suppose I should put on one board with a serial and clock/calendar, and one board with just a serial. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.
