The new Zenith PC-compatibles (the Z-138, Z-148, and Z-158) offer a switch to allow them to be operated at 4.77 MHz and 8 MHz. If you intend to use an 8087 math chip with one of these computers, you will need to get an 8087-2, otherwise it may have problems at the higher speed. Note, by the way, that a Z-158 at 8 MHz will outrun an IBM PC AT for a number of jobs, especially those that are floating point intensive. (An 80287 in a PC-AT runs at just 4 MHz, making the AT no faster than a PC for floating-point-computation-bound tasks.) -- D Gary Grady Duke U Comp Center, Durham, NC 27706 (919) 684-3695 USENET: {seismo,decvax,ihnp4,akgua,etc.}!mcnc!ecsvax!dgary
