UB 40 I need some advice for a hardware quasi-problem that I am having with my IBMPC. When I turn the thing on, or hit alt-ctrl-delete, the first thing that displays on the screen is the message: F600 ROM Presumably, this means that the F600 rom is bad (P/N U30 on my system board, I have a 256K motherboard), however, I talked my wife into helping me and we went through all of the code, and it is all correct, as listed in the tech ref manual. I have not noticed any problems with any software, commercial, self-developed, or otherwise, so am a bit confused as to what the problem is. My system consists of an IBM color card, AST 6 pk+ with 384k of 64k chips, 2 cdc dsdd floppy drives, and an IBM disk controller card. The other thing that might be of interest is that one day the computer worked fine (no error message) and the next day this thing started appearing. I didnt do anything to the computer, even had the screws in the cabinet. There werent any electrical storms or other disturbances during the time the error must have occurred, and it was a pretty normal day that day. Any solutions or possibilities will be eagerly accepted. Thanks, Dave
