[net.micro.pc] PGC & Pointers in Large Model

We have a PC/AT with the professional graphics controller, and Microsoft
3.0 C compiler.  I have been unable to access the PGC memory ports.
I have tried all the combinations (char far *, long variables) and
compiling with /AL library, but to no avail.  Any clues as to why I 
might not be accessing the correct memory locations (0xc6000 for the
output fifo buffer, 0xc6300 for the output write pointer) ?  Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
