[net.micro.pc] MS-D*S switch character

frank@sagan.UUCP (Frank Whaley) (09/26/85)

Hacker types may like to alter the switch character used by MS-D*S in
utilities like DIR, COPY, etc. Changing the switch character from the
default '/' (to maybe '-') then allows '/' to be used as the directory
separator character. Feeding the following file to DEBUG as standard
input creates SWITCH.COM, a program which will examine and/or change
the current switch character. Note that this program uses an "internal"
MS-D*S function, and thus may change in the future (it works under 2.0,
2.1, 3.0, and 3.1). "SWITCH" with no arguments will tell you what the
current switch char is, and "SWITCH c" will set the switch char to 'c'.
Cut the following to a file called "switch", then "debug <switch".
