A friend is looking for a good Fortran compiler for his IBM PC. Are there any recommendations out there? I've heard of Microsoft Fortran, IBM Professional Fortran, and Ryan-McFarland Fortran. On Fortran for the PC--Take a look at an article entitled "Fortran Options" in the October, 1985 PC Tech Journal. This article compares the latest compilers from Digital Research, IBM (Professional Fortran), Lahey, and Microsoft.
