[net.micro.pc] Xenix, EGA, and monochrome monitor.

Our office has two Compaq Deskpro's. We installed Xenix on one
of them, after the updates to allow use of the 30M disks. All went fine
and dandy, until we installed a Sigma Designs Color 400 display adapter
to run hi-res graphics in the DOS partition. Now it's impossible to
boot Xenix- it just screams and dies. The only way out was to boot from
a floppy, use fdisk to switch active partitions, and reboot DOS.
It seems that the Sigma board uses some additional ROM to load
its drivers, and Xenix for some reason doesn't like that.
Perhaps the EGA has the same problem. ???
