I was wondering if anyone has used IBM's SDLC adapter card. In particular, if they had programmed it directly, as opposed to using the software package it comes with. I have been playing around with it for quite a while. I have found that documentation relating to this card (specifically the hardware technical reference manual) is quite sparse in terms of necessary details (like most of IBM's documentation :-)). Specific details that I am interested in are: 1) how to have the card generate an interrupt when RS-232 signal lines change (DSR/CTS). The manual says it will do this, but it doesn't say how to make it do it. 2) is it possible to run the card full duplex and still use DMA channel 1 to xfer data to/from the card (this doesn't seem likely, since the DMA chip has to be programmed to either read or write). 3) Any other details I should be aware of when using this card. Thanks... "It ain't necessarily so" ken bass linus!faron!kbb
