I am having problems formating a line for a document (DOC).
Also, Printing the files.
I am simply trying to type a memo.

Next, I would like to know how to go about defining a new
data base.
I have gotten as far as one window, but when I try to do
the other window, the entire frame shows up rather
then that section of the window.
Also printing this I get a message saying printer error.

Thanks for your help

What kind of problem? If you are trying to change a format line,
there are menu entries to do this - you can't type onto the format
line itself. Text will not automatically readjust to a new format
line; you have to rejustify the text (use the JUSTIFY key).

Do you have the correct driver installed for your printer. You also
have to have the right interface (serial or parallel) selected.

I haven't worked with data bases other than to walk myself through
their tutorial and how-to documentation. As I recall, some of the
work is more easily done through a sheet window; in fact, this is
what you should use to create a data base. Sorry I can't be of
more help.

It really does sound like you don't have the right printer driver
installed (or selected).

** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE ***
We are currently using THE UPDATE to release 1.1 of
Symphony and are totally disgusted. Maybe we are missing something
Our worksheets that took 10 minutes to calculate on the OLD release
now take 20 minutes with 1.1. Now that's progress !! We
have added a math coprocessor and guess what , it now takes
15 minutes to calculate the same spreadsheet. As far as
we are concerned the new added features are useless if it
now takes twice as long to calculate the sheet.
So we decided to translate back to the OLD version.
But when we transferred back using the translate program
we lost data on both large and small files.
Has anyone else had these or other problems with the
new version ? We would be interested in hearing from you.
