[ Three cheers for the line eater!!! ] If this has been discussed before, please forgive me for posting something redundant, but if anyone is interested, I have an improved version of MORE for the IBM PC and compatibles. It will read from a pipe or from a file which is specified on the command line. Actually, you can name several files on the command line and it will move from one to the next sequentially. Here is a command summary: <space> move forward one screenful <cr> move forward one line h move forward half a screenful r rewind the current file e call up an editor on the current file n go to the next file on the command line p go to the previous file on the command line f choose another file to read from ! execute a DOS command or push to an inferior shell v print out the version number ? print help information q quit to DOS Sorry, no backward paging, searches, or numeric arguments for commands yet. Those may come in later versions. I will be happy to post the source (in C.I. C86, heavily commented), a "User's Manual" which documents the finer points and pitfalls of PC-More, (this is the name I've given it, if there is some other program by the same name, let me know), and the UUENCODEd binary. However, if there is already another program which has been distributed which does as much as or more than PC-More, I don't want to post it, what with net traffic being as high as it is. If you folks out there in net land would like to see PC-More posted, let me know by e-mail.
