[net.micro.pc] Wordstar: printing non-standard characters

werner@aecom.UUCP (Craig Werner) (02/06/86)

A friend of mine has the following problem.
	1. He needs a handful of Greek letters in tables he is making.
	2. His printer has an extended wheel, with Greek letters above 127.
	3. Wordstar uses the eighth bit for its own use.

He says a few characters in the lower set are expendable - [{]}~`etc,
and would like to patch the print driver to send the non-standard codes out
whenever it encounters these.
He needs to know where these patches might be found, since nothing
of the sort appears in 'The Underground Wordstar.'

Note: Using ^P is a bad solution because most of the subs are in
tables, which could then only be lined up with extreme difficulty.
