I'm looking for a chip called a "RAM PAL" which is made by somebody called Software Wizardry. It can replace the PAL that is already in the H/Z150-160 series and allow you to use two banks of 256K memories to expand the H/Z to 640K. I know that Heathkit can order it for ~$40, but I'm sure there are quicker and cheaper ways. Can anybody help? Much Grass, as the Spaniards say. Huh? I didn't know there was a problem, so I just purchased a standard IBM-PC compatible memory/clock/port board for my Z-160, loaded it up with memory, flipped the right dips and it worked. I am presently running with 576K and it works fine.

Since I posted the original article/request, I guess I owe the net a followup. The idea in asking for the RAMPAL was that it can be had (I found out from some kind people) for $25 from Microprocessors Unlilimited. With 256K chips going for $2.80, using the RAMPAL and two banks of 256K's is a darn sight cheaper than a new board for the Z151. Larry Marcus inuxn!druid
