There was some excellent discussion in some (?) ms-dos related news groups about how to detect if DOS was busy from an interupt. I didn't save the articles and would really like MAIL from any and all who could shed light on this. I'd like (ideally) to be able to do DOS traps from an interupt routine. The previous discussion seems to be from folks who had tackled the "ibm-pc-as-disk/file-server" problem as this is a common problem in that arena. At least several of the posters seems to know what DOS globals to look at and what technique is recommended to determine if DOS is active; techniques were also discussed on how to deal with these issues. If you posted this wisdom, please send me mail. I have a small utility which really needs this. Brad Parker harvard!gcc-milo!brad Thanks. I'm new to the 80x86 world; Yow - a linear address space and 16 registers can really spoil a guy! ;-) -- J Bradford Parker General Computer (HyperDrive Beach) harvard!gcc-milo!brad "She said, 'Just drive.'" -heard on the radio.
