I have a friend who bought a Radio Shack 3000, supposedly an IBM-PC/AT compatible. The store told him to buy IBM DOS 3.1 and run that as their implementation of DOS had bugs in it. He has been running IBM DOS 3.1 on the machine without problems, until recently when he tried to run Basic on the machine. When he tries to run Basic, immediately upon pressing enter following the command "Basic" the machine displays: "Unexpected SW interupt 06 at F000:fff0. Type (R)eboot, other keys to continue" Basic simply will not run. The boot information indicates that BIOS is: BIOS ROM version 01.00.00 Compatibility Software (C) 1985 Phoenix Software Associates Ltd., All Rights Reserved Licensed to Tandy Corp. Can anyone in netland help my friend out with this problem? Has anyone experienced it or similar or even different problems with the Tandy 3000? Please reply by mail to me and I'll forward the information on to him. Thanks in advance. ---------- US MAIL: University of North Carolina New West Hall 035A Chapel Hill, NC 27514 PHONE: 919-962-7103 USENET: decvax!mcnc!unc!howell CSNET: howell@unc ARPANET: howell%unc@csnet-relay
