[ For the line eater, or is that just a figment of net.rumor? ] I am trying to find information on a Visual Technologies portable PC compatible, and in particular about a package offered by a mail order outfit called DAK. The package comes with the Visual PC, a Hitachi monitor, some no-name printer, and DOS 2.1. The PC has 256k on board and a single 51/4" floppy. An optional LCD display is available to make the thing portable. The whole package is an unbelievable $999. Does anyone know if this is a good computer? Is it truly XT compatible? Is it so cheap because Visual has fallen on hard times? Or what? Has anyone used DOS 2.1 in recent history? Has anyone ever done any business with DAK? (They seem to sell all kinds of electronic equipment; stereos, cameras, etc.) Please reply directly to me, if there is any interest I will summarize to the net. AdvThanksance (Thanks in Advance)
