[net.micro.pc] Visual Commuter questions

alford@ecsvax.UUCP (Ross Alford) (05/07/86)

Has anyone had any experience with the portable PC clone known as the
Visual Commuter? California Digital was advertising these for
$895 with an 80 x 25 LCD and 2 5.25" drives in the latest Byte.
I once briefly played with one of these at a dealers and was fairly
positively impressed. I have several questions, though:
    1) will they accept an 8087 coprocessor
    2) will they accept a V20 as a replacement for the 8088?
    3) can they be expanded beyond the 128k they come with
       just by adding RAM?
    4) are there any compatibility problems you know of?
Please respond if you know anything about these, or have any other
comments on the machines. I will summarize mail responses, if I
receive any.

Thanks in advance,
Ross Alford
