I own a Zenith Z-200 (AT compatible) computer. As any of you who also own one know, it has a very loud and irritating fan in the power supply. After disassembling the power supply, I discovered that the fan is 12 VDC. Interestingly, the IBM AT uses an AC fan in its power supply, and it makes virtually no noise at all. I have perused in vain several catalogs (Newark, etc.) for a fan that would be a suitable replacement AND BE QUIET! The requirements of the fan are: 12 VDC 3 Watts about 3.14" square about 1" to 1 7/8" deep Unfortunately, I don't know what the cfm rating of the present fan is. By comparing its output to other fans whose output I do know, I suspect that the requirement is about 170 cfm. If anyone has performed a successful fan replacement, or knows where I might be able to get one, I would very much appreciate the info. Thanks in advance. - Cathy Fulton uucp: ...decvax!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-comet!fulton ARPA: fulton%comet.DEC@decwrl
